Highview College Student Outcomes

Congratulations 2018 Graduates 

As we do every year, we invite students to return to their alma mater to share with current students what they are now planning for their futures. Not all graduates are able to return but each year we hear wonderful stories about their plans and their achievements.

97% of Year 12 Highview College graduates who completed an ATAR pathway were offered places at Universities. This is a fantastic achievement.

Our 2018 Dux, Ben Evans, gave an impassioned speech urging Year 12 students to keep a healthy perspective and encouraging all students to make the most of their time at Highview College. He commended and thanked his teachers and paid homage to his peers, who were a particularly close group. We were delighted to welcome them back and share their stories.

Callista Holmes - Year 12 Merit Award                                                                       Now studying Animal and Veterinary Biosciences at La Trobe University

Jackson Solomano - Year 12 Merit Award                                                                   Now studying Aviation (Pilot) at RMIT University

Sophie Lawrence - Year 12 Merit Award                                                                     Now studying Engineering (Civil) at Deakin University

Jozef Thoolen - Year 12 Merit Award                                                                           Now studying Journalism at RMIT University

Mia Waters - Excellence in Sport & Recreation achieved in Year 11, Year 12 Merit   Award,Mia was the recipient of the Bruce Dellavedova Memorial Scholarship         Now studying Nursing at Australian Catholic University

Jacqueline Humphrey - Studio Arts Dux Year 12, Year 12 Merit Award                   Now studying Arts at Monash University

Bailey Raats - Year 12 Excellence Award                                                                   Now studying Global Science and Technology Program at Deakin University. The   Global Science and Technology Program aims to recognise, reward and support high achieving students who want to conduct part of their studies overseas through an exchange or study abroad program.

Ailie McGibbon - Year 12 Excellence Award                                                              Now studying Applied Science/Dietetic Practice at La Trobe University

Keely Franklin - Excellence in Health and Human Development, achieved in Year 11, Year 12 Excellence Award                                                                                        Now studying Teaching-Primary at Deakin University

Bridgette Bates - Excellence in English, Year 12 Excellence Award                        Now studying Physiotherapy at Australian Catholic University (ACU), Bridgette was a   successful recipient of the ACU Community Achiever Program (CAP) because of her   history of regular volunteering experience in the local community. The program offers   future students who are active in their community early entry to their undergraduate   course of choice. It also provides opportunities to enhance leadership and volunteering   skills.

Shelby Farrell - Health and Human Development Dux Award, achieved in Year 11,  Physical Education Dux Award, Year 12 Excellence Award                                        Now studying Nursing/Midwifery at Deakin University. 

 

Benjamin Evans - Excellence in Further Mathematics achieved in Year 11, Subject  Excellence in Biology, Physical Education & Psychology, Year 12 Excellence, 2018 Dux  of the College                                                                                                         Now studying Sport Management/Business at Federation University Australia
