A. TUITION FEES
In line with our vision of providing a genuinely accessible educational environment, we attempt to keep our fees as low as possible. However, fees are increased each year in line with actual recurrent cost increases. The fee includes tuition costs, the costs of some learning materials and resources, and costs related to special educational programs and activities. B. PAYMENT OF FEES Fees are generally paid on a quarterly basis within three weeks of the commencement of each term, however, the school will consider requests to pay fees on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. C. DIFFICULTIES WITH FEES We do especially rely on the prompt payment of fees, but if any parents find that the fees are temporarily beyond their means, they should contact the Business Manager or the Principal, who will discuss the matter with them. D. AUSTUDY AND OTHER GOVERNMENT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE Other forms of financial assistance such as AUSTUDY and Education Maintenance Allowance may be available to particular families at specified year levels. Information on these programs will be made available to parents/guardians at the appropriate times each year. Please do not hesitate to contact the Business Manager if you have any queries in this area. E. BURSARIES Bursaries at the College have been set up to assist the students of parents in needy circumstances within our College enrolment area. Bursaries will only be offered on a yearly review basis and will be used to subsidise tuition fees. Application forms are available from the Business Manager. All applications will involve an interview with the Principal and/or Business Manager. F. SCHOLARSHIPS Highview Community Scholarships are available to students entering Year 7 each year. Scholarships will be used to provide assistance in the first two years of secondary schooling at Highview. Details and application forms are available from the College office at the end of April each year. G. CONVEYANCE ALLOWANCE A Conveyance Allowance is available to students using V/Line transport or private transport where the student resides more than 4.8km from school or the nearest contract school bus service. Application forms are available from the college office. |
